Camryn Jane Thurman was born at 12:35 am. She is 21.5 inches long and weighs 7 pounds 11.4 ounces. She’s perfect.
Megan delivered her in about 8 minutes. There were a few tense moments as the placenta was about 15% abrupted. However, the doctor helped get her out safe and we are all happy.

I know some of you out there have bathroom cabinets that look like this:

and this:

That top one may not look so bad. But what you miss in the picture is the odor. Something inside that cabinet stinks, and has for quite some time. I’ve been too scared to clean it out and find out what it is. Until now. One hour and one large trashbag later, I had this:

And this:

And the odor? I couldn’t identify exactly what it was, but something inside this white basket stunk.

I think it was a mix of old nail polish remover, old nail polish, and water. There was a pretty good size puddle in there, which is pretty gross in and of itself.
It sure felt good to get those two cabinets organized! Let the nesting continue!

It feels like summer today. First, it’s hot. Second, we had nothing to do today. Not a single thing. So I busted out The Slide. It also feels like summer because the kids are wearing hardly any clothes, and I haven’t showered yet. I’ve done minimal house work, and instead took pictures, read my book, played Webkinz, watched tv, took a little nap, and browsed minivans. It’s been a really good day.

Logan is eating cereal straight from the box.
It all started because I needed to sit for a few minutes. After a long morning of laundry, a few hours at NASA, a quick stop at WalMart, an hour spent making new astronaut and space shirts for the kids, and more laundry, I needed a break.
The kids had popsicles this morning for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Hey, they are the whole fruit kind…it’s just like eating fruit, right? They were so cute sitting side by side in chairs that I had to bust out my camera. Some of the pictures were just screaming for captions. And once I started, I couldn’t stop. I blame my children for my lack of fixing dinner. If they hadn’t been so cute with their breakfast this morning, this never would have happened.

(For the record, I think my kids like when dinner is a free for all.)

I love this kid so much.

Those two pictures totally capture him-face full of mischief, running full speed ahead, just so full of life. He is such a fun kid and always keeps us on our toes!

In this picture, you can see the remnants of his latest crash on the left side of his forhead, and if you look closely, in the corner of his left eye. He is so full speed ahead that he hurts himself on a pretty regular basis. It’s pretty much a given that every Monday when I drop him off at school, he will have some sort of bruise from his weekend of hardcore playing. It’s become a bit of a joke with his teachers. This latest one happened when he sprinted into his room, took a flying leap onto a toy box only to learn the hard way that a.) the lid doesn’t fit securely anymore, and b.) in the windowsill vs. forehead battle, the windowsill wins.
Yup, he’s crazy. But I wouldn’t trade an ounce of his craziness for anything…well, maybe I would for just a smidgen of fear. But his wild and crazy side is part of what makes him my Logan bug. I love him so much, and I am so thankful for the joy he brings to our family!

I’m their mama. I can say that as much as I want! A few weeks ago, the oh-so-talented Cindi took pictures of the boys for me. She just posted them, and they came out so cute!! Logan’s eyes are pretty squinty in most of them…he’s just like his daddy and has very sensitive eyes when it’s bright. But I still love them all! Here are a few of my faves, and if you want to see them all, the gallery is posted here. And Cindi has a few others posted on her blog.

Thanks again, Cindi!
In other news (well, it’s not news, really. I’m just excited about it…) the boys and I went to Ikea today. I love that place! And it’s even better now that Logan is potty trained and can go play in the kid area. He loved getting to stay with Connor! I got some good stuff-a dresser for the baby, a coffee table, curtains for our bedroom (finally!), a new laundry hamper, some storage for stuffed animals, and a few other odds and ends. We all had such a good time. We ate lunch there and then headed home where I put together the coffee table all by myself while the kids destroyed the box it came in. I love boys-they seriously spent 45 minutes playing a game with the box. I won’t mention the huge mess it left in it’s wake…
Tonight is Connor’s end of year program/preschool graduation. Tear…I can’t believe he is going to be starting kindergarten! He’s growing up way too fast.
All in all, it’s been a great Tuesday.

I feel like summer is officially on it’s way. It seems like we’ve had a really nice spring- or it could be that I have gotten used to the heat. At any rate, it wasn’t until the past few days that it really felt like summer was on it’s way. And last year I remember thinking that in March.
This is what the boys did after school on Monday:

Doesn’t Austin look like an attack dog in this picture? I promise no children were harmed in the taking of this photo…

Such sweet boys!

And, just for good measure, here’s a pic of Logan I took this morning.

I love the mix of super hero and…um…the feminine pull up. Someday he is going to be so embarrassed by this. But I’m his mom, and taking slightly embarrassing pics of your kids is in the job description. For the record, he chose the princess pull-ups. I blame it on his little girlfriends at school. He is in a class with one other boy and six girls (and the boy is still in only diapers). And, also for the record, it doesn’t bother me that he wants to wear the princess pull-ups. It’s just about the only “girly” thing my all-boy kiddo has ever done. And, also for the record, he is doing great with potty training and usually wears his spiderman undies. So on the rare occasion he requests (or just comes out wearing) the princess pull-up, I just smile and laugh. And take a picture. He’s a real character, that’s for sure!

This morning was Connor’s very fist t-ball game, and it was a lot of fun. I was really impressed with the kids-for the most part, they all knew what they were doing and what was going on. At practice, I sometimes wonder if the kids even have a clue as to what the point is. They really surprised me! Connor had a really good time, minus the sitting in the dugout part. It’s hard to wait to bat when you are 10th out of 11 kids. Anyway, here are some pics from his big Little League debut. I know there are a lot, but I just couldn’t decide which ones I liked the best!
During one of the innings, Connor got to play on the pitchers mound. I love his little baseball form in these 3 pictures.

Like I mentioned before, I ordered Photoshop Elements 6, and so far I am loving it! I’ve stayed up way too late the past two nights messing around on photoshop. I even revamped the blog a little…and I’m actually darn proud of myself because I figured out some html stuff when my husband was less than willing to help. So besides the new blog banner, check this out. I’m such a dork.

And last night while Connor was at t-ball practice, I took some pictures of Logan playing in the backyard, just to have pictures to edit (and for some reason, the colors don’t look as saturated on my blog as the did in photoshop. Weird.) I especially love this first one. It’s a little deer in headlights, but I just love his little face!

Thanks for all the opinions about the backsplash. At first, I was leaning towards number 1, for the exact reasons some of you mentioned…the warmness and the way it brings out the floors. But when I brought them home, I started liking number 2 better. I am pretty sure we’re going to go with the silver, but I haven’t completely committed to that yet. I need to decide soon because I was really hoping this was going to be the weekend project. I can’t wait to see the entire thing finished!

Last Wednesday, we took the boys to the Houston Rodeo. While we didn’t see the actual rodeo (tickets were just a bit pricey since they are technically concert tickets, not just rodeo tickets), the kids had a great time riding carnival rides, checking out the petting zoo, and watching pig races and mutton busting. Here are some pictures of our rodeo fun.

We had such a great time!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day, so we took a little family walk down to the park. We always end up in the ditch behind out house. That sounds really weird and kind of creepy…it’s not like a muddy sewer or anything. The kids love to go on adventures back there. And I love to take pictures there-it’s nice that I can usually get some with no houses, people, or cars. Here are my two faves.

Today, baby girl T is halfway cooked! I had Derek take a few belly shots yesterday. You can also see my new haircut. It feels so healthy and soft! It’s nothing that exciting, but I like it.
