We were up and and ’em bright and early on Saturday morning for the drive to Florida. I’m always pleasantly surprised by my kids on long car trips. I mean, they really do have it made with the dvd player, iphones/itouch, dsi, etc. We also stop every few hours to stretch, pee, eat, and play. One of our favorite things about going to visit our families in Arlington is the guaranteed fun cousin time. We are all just so crazy about this little guy. I am so thankful that God put it on Matt and Cindi’s heart to travel halfway around the world and bring him home! Camryn and Abby. Oh, she loves Abby. I think the feeling is pretty much mutual.
I don’t know if this ever happens in your house, but sometimes Christmas traditions are really built up in my head as a wonderful, magical thing and in reality, it’s just not so fabulous. For us, decorating the Christmas tree is one of those things. In my mind, we happily decorate the tree while listening to Christmas music with a fire warmly crackling in the background. For the 4th year in a row, we headed out to the farm to cut down our Christmas tree. This is one of my very favorite traditions that we started back in 2008.
